The Essential in a Nutshell

The Modern Form of Continuing Education for the Financial Sector:
Researched—Focused—Interactive—Relevant

  • Focused learning units—Individual Master Classes are 3 to 4 hours long and take place online or in person. They are intensive learning units that require active participation and serve the needs of experienced participants from the banking and finance industries.

  • Interactivity and engagement—Interactive learning is at the heart of SFI Master Classes. Moving beyond conventional, one-way knowledge transfer, SFI Master Classes embrace knowledge exchange between co-leaders and participants through in-class group activities, engaging discussions, and on-site networking opportunities.

  • High quality exchange—Our eight Swiss partner universities form the academic foundation of SFI. Seasoned top-level industry experts and SFI professors develop, co-lead, and moderate Master Classes, resulting in a balanced combination of academic rigor and practical application.

  • Free course attendance—Employees of institutions affiliated with the Swiss Bankers Association (SBA) or of the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) or of the Swiss National Bank (SNB) can participate free of charge.
